From The Depths, A Voice (2018)
Solo exhibition at Parthnon. A gallery hosted in a former greenery.
"They peek out between blades of grass. The fruit. Not easily visible if you dont know what to look for. You can find them in the autumn. Growing close to paths, communal lawns, and graveyards. It´s as if they are attracted to human activities. Maybe they want to be found? To become dissolved in your body. To give, show, and tell you something."
Through a occidental and capitalistic perspective, nature is reduced to simply a dead resource. The ancient knowledge of natures sentience is forgotten, allowing the un-sustainable exploitation to continue. Natures voice has been repressed and ignored, but it is still speaking. Waiting to be listened to, and for us to re-discover its intrinsic value.
